on the other hand, UX is focused on the overall experience of using a product. A UX designer will consider factors such as ease of use, accessibility, and overall satisfaction when designing a product. They may conduct user research, create user personas, and analyze metrics to gain insights into how users interact with a product. They will then use this information to inform the design of the product’s interface, functionality, and workflow.

While UI design is focused more on the visual design, and UX more on the overall user experience, often designers with both skills are called “UX/UI designer”. Because both skills are closely related, it is not uncommon for one person to specialize in both areas.

Do UX Designers need to learn coding?

Well as the name suggests its a design job, as a UI UX designer you don’t need to code, however most of the employers prefer basic understanding of HTML and CSS while hiring.

The main reason to consider learning basic UX design is because of that you will get an idea of designing the interface that can actually be coded, most UX designers nowadays focus alot on fancy looking UI which are time consuming for development. So if a UX designer has a knowledge of HTML and CSS they can design the interfaces that have great user experience and are easy to develop and deploy.

Collect inspirations: Look at existing apps and websites to see examples of good UI design in action. Analyze the interface, think about why the design choices were made, and consider how you would improve it. Practice, practice, practice: The best way to improve your skills as a UI designer is to practice creating your own designs.

Start by creating simple interfaces for apps or websites, then gradually work your way up to more complex designs.Ask for feedback: Ask other designers, developers or friends to give you honest feedback on your work. UX design stands for User Experience Design, and it’s all about designing products that are easy and enjoyable to use. The goal of UX design is to create a positive experience for the user by making the product or service simple, efficient, and easy to use.UX designers focus on the overall feel of the product and how it is perceived by the user.

UX Designers consider factors such as , accessibility, and visual design, to create a cohesive and streamlined experience for the user.

Here are several key elements of UX design

User research:

This involves understanding the needs and goals of the users, as well as their pain points and frustrations. UX designers conduct user research through methods such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing.

Information architecture:

This is the process of organizing and structuring information in a way that makes it easy for users to find what they’re looking for. It involves proper labeling organizing and structuring information

Interaction design

This involves designing the interactions and interfaces that users have with the product, including buttons, menus, and other elements. The goal is to make the interface easy to navigate and use.

Visual design (reference – Interaction Design foundation)

This involves creating a consistent and visually pleasing aesthetic for the product. Including layout, typography, color, and imagery.

Line – continuous ine of dots connecting two points

Shape – Shape are closed spaced area covered by lines. Shapes have height and width.

White Space – White space is the area that surrounds the primary object. Both Negative space and White space holds the same importance.

Volume – Volumes applied for 3D spaces, Volumes have height, width and length.

Color – Color is usually linked with the emotions, you can earn about the color theory here.

UX design is about understanding the user’s needs and creating products that are easy, efficient and satisfying to use.
